Vovinam Director ChrisTin Jon Phucken Nguyen had inpirational words to say at the close of filming:

 

"And that is officially a wrap on Day 2 of filming, and it has been a long one.
I will be emailing all the extras that stuck it out with us on the shoot and sat around waiting forever just to shoot a few seconds of footage. We as a team owe them a great deal of appreciation.

I also want to say to the cast, you guys did a great job today. I'm a huge sports fan, so following the NFL giving out game balls, today's game ball has to go out to Adam W. Metzler. The guy was on stand-by the entire day, and showed up to set and waited another 5 hours to film his scene. Went to buy the firewood for us to complete the scene... and took one hell of a beating... IN FULL COSTUME! You showed great dedication today Adam... and I'm sure David Nguyen agrees with me... that you deserve the game ball today.

Not to say everyone else didn't do great...but the dude fought in a ring of fire in knee high rubber boots, a shirt and a freakin wool jacket on!! He deserves the recognition.
